چکیده

We use an agent-based model to examine the influence of word-of-mouth communication in environments where agents select products by using positive referrals from other satisfied agents as well as their own preferences and perceptions. The role of referrals is illustrated using a complex decision environment that incorporates a number of psychological realities. Using the model, we find evidence that word-of-mouth can be an important influence on both system effectiveness and stability depending on defection strategy, and that the ability to learn about others agents’ referral quality leads to consistent improvements in system effectiveness when market barriers are absent, but that these improvements require considerable learning time, and are not present when barriers to change are relatively high.

Voltage Coordination of FACTS Devices in Power Systems Using RL-Based Multi-Agent Systems

This paper describes how multi-agent system technology can be used as the underpinning platform for voltage control in power systems. In this study, some FACTS (flexible AC transmission systems) devices are properly designed to coordinate their decisions and actions in order to provide a coordinated secondary voltage control mechanism based on multi-agent theory. Each device here is modeled as ...

Determining appropriate weight for criteria in multi criteria group decision making problems using an Lp model and similarity measure

Decision matrix in group decision making problems depends on a lot of criteria. It is essential to know the necessity ofweight or coefficient of each criterion. Accurate and precise selection of weight will help to achieve the intended goal. The aim of this article is to introduce a linear programming model for recognizing the importance of each criterion inmulti criteria group decision making w...

Resilient Supplier Selection in a Supply Chain by a New Interval-Valued Fuzzy Group Decision Model Based on Possibilistic Statistical Concepts

Supplier selection is one the main concern in the context of supply chain networks by considering their global and competitive features. Resilient supplier selection as generally new idea has not been addressed properly in the literature under uncertain conditions. Therefore, in this paper, a new multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) model is introduced with interval-valued fuzzy sets (I...

Conditional Preferences for Social Systems

The design of artificial decision-making systems must be founded on some notion of rationality. Conventional multi-agent decision-making methodologies, such as von Neumann-Morgenstern game theory, are based on the paradigm of individual rationality, which requires decision makers to take the action that is best for themselves, regardless of its effect on other decision makers. Relaxing the dema...

Urban Vegetation Recognition Based on the Decision Level Fusion of Hyperspectral and Lidar Data

Introduction: Information about vegetation cover and their health has always been interesting to ecologists due to its importance in terms of habitat, energy production and other important characteristics of plants on the earth planet. Nowadays, developments in remote sensing technologies caused more remotely sensed data accessible to researchers. The combination of these data improves the obje...
